This is my canal links page. For my personal site go here and for my non-canals links page go here.

The following links will open in a new window:

I am a member of the following:

Inland Waterways Association

Lichfield & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust

Historic Narrow Boat Owners Club

Residential Boat Owners Association

National Association of Boat Owners

Other useful waterways sites include the following:

The official British Waterways site is primarily a publicity machine aimed at people new to the canals, but it is improving as a resource for boaters. The best canal resource sites I've found are George's Canal Pages and Jim Shead's site which between them link to probably every waterways site and discussion list on the web. I particularly like the following:

Narrowboat World is a relatively new site, but is fast becoming essential reading as it is constantly updated. Andy Matthews site A.M. Models is good both for model boats and as a resource about historic boats. Large parts of the site are an updated version of Roger Fuller's old site. There are lots of interesting personal sites around, but I particularly like the Canal Travels site. Kevin Maslin's new BCN calendar is available as a free download. Laurence Hogg has a selection of working boat plans, including for Fish class. I recently bought one of these, but haven't studied it yet. The Narrow Boat Trust website has recently been updated and is well worth a visit.

And finally, a silly one: Here's a site for finding out about fish (over 500 different types of bream are listed!)
