Thanks to Graham Holland for the following information which corrects errors in the previous version of this page:

Abandoned by BWB in the late 60's.

Raised from Northwich Middle Flash. Used for general towing and salvage work by Steve Wakefield for some years. In that period, Carp had a terrible hog and Steve tried many ways - short of re-planking - to straighten her.

Sold to youngsters with whom it sank for a while at Croxley Mill.

Raised by Graham Holland and used as a tug pulling BCN 19258 (S&L116, later Touchwood) for some years; much enjoying the benefit of a National Diesel which had replaced the 9HP Bolinder many years earlier.

Sold to Brentford Bridge Boatyard, who removed and sold the National and abandoned her below the tide lock. Carp's last act of defiance appears to have been to impale a plastic cruiser on her iron knees as the tide fell, one day. The pair lay, thus intertwined to this day.
