The rear section of the original Bream was added to the fore section of a BCN day boat (Reg No. Tipton 1909) and used initially as a tug, then as a hire boat. The boat has an Armstrong Siddley AS2 engine fitted and retains the original Bolinder fuel tank. This may have been the engine in the boat before it was divided, but this is not known. (The AS2 was a common replacement for faulty Bolinder engines in similar boats).
The following pictures were taken in the 1970s while the boat was in the ownership
of Union Canal Carriers.

The boat then passed into private ownership and for a while was based in the London area. More recently it changed hands and is now based on the Grand Union a few miles north of Marsworth Junction. It has had a new steel cabin fitted and the step in the gunwale has been significantly improved. The following pictures were taken in August 2003.
I would love to make contact with the owners of this boat to
get more details of the history of the vessel.
Several previous attempts to do this via contacts made in the Aylesbury area
have failed. If anyone can assist me with this I would be very grateful.
