On the morning of December 31st I fell on ice at Engine Lock and damaged the tendons and ligaments in my left ankle. Thanks to the kind assistance of family and friends, I was able to have the boat moved off the Caldon (where it would have been blocked in by a stoppage for a couple of months from 5th January) down to Aston where access on and off the boat for someone on crutches (i.e. me!) was possible.
